Opportunities for Regional Sustainability
Northeast Ohio as a Model
June 24, 2005
Fisher Auditorium, South Exhibit Area, OARDC, Wooster, OH
The second of three forums on Opportunities for Regional Sustainability will be held on June 24, 2005 at the Fisher Auditorium, OARDC, Wooster, OH. The forums are intended for community leaders, farmers, business and land owners, planners, researchers and educators, and will address issues that promote success for regions that lie across the rural urban interface.
Ed Morrison of Case Western Reserve University’s Center for Regional Economic Issues will be our speaker and share his views on Building Sustainable Development Strategies in Northeast Ohio
A significant portion of the morning will be allocated to networking in order to enhance the effectiveness of existing groups and projects and to build infrastructures for new, complementary ones. During the networking time, participants will be encouraged to break into groups to identify activities and resources (e.g., informational, financial, human) which would provide synergistic benefit for the region. We are confident that the sessions will benefit all participants: college/university, government, business, foundations, organizations, associations, and citizen-stakeholders. Network groups can continue meeting over lunch at a nearby restaurant if they desire or schedule a future conference call or meeting.
